Luca’s brave shave

Hi, my name is Taya, proud mama to Luca.

Luca’s best bud forever Ruben is battling the fight of his life at the moment as an inpatient at Perth Children’s Hospital. Ruben has a rare genetic blood disorder DADA-2, that has a very poor prognosis (stroke and fatality risk) without rigorous treatment.

Treatment over the last year has included 2 bone marrow transplants, multiple rounds of chemotherapy, and regular blood transfusions.

One of the side effects is hair loss. After finding this fact out, Luca said “I want to be bald too, I want us to be the same”.

Luca would like to show support to his best friend by shaving his head in solidarity, and raising some money for Ruben’s family. Please consider supporting Luca in his powerful show of compassion.

Your donation, however big or small, will contribute towards groceries for the family to live off over the Christmas/NY period as they have been unable to work for majority of the past year.

Luca will be getting his head shaved 22 December and we will post some photos.
