Hi, my name is Greg West. My son Luca loves football. He's played since he was 4 years old. Ever since he was little, he has trained & worked hard at his game. He's had some setbacks, either injury or not being selected in Rep. teams, but he kept pushing & trying his best. He made the Newcastle Jets Academy & continued to develop as a footballer. Alongside the Academy, he also enjoyed representing his school teams, firstly in his younger years at Charlestown East Public School & lately at Whitebridge High School. While at Whitebridge High School, Luca was the captain of the Open Boys team who made it to the State Final of the Puma Cup. He was awarded Player of the Tournament.

Luca was also selected in the Hunter Schools team, then the N.S.W. Combined High Schools team, then N.S.W. All Schools team. Luca travelled to Queensland as part of the N.S.W All Schools team to play in an Interstate Tournament. At the conclusion of the Tournament, Luca was chosen as the N.S.W All Schools M.V.P. & was selected to be part of the Australian Schools Team to tour the U.K & Ireland in early 2025. The very great honour of representing your country comes at a cost.
