Lua's Memorial Fund

Tragically we lost a great soul on Friday.  May her spirit soar and may her family and loved ones find peace.  

Please help us raise the funds to cover all her funeral and memorial costs.  All leftover  funds will be given directly to her two children, Lucas and Chloe.

For those of you who don't know us, this fundraiser is being run by Allen Thoe and Jeremy Conrad.  Both of us are paraglider pilots who were close friends with Lua and tragically flying with her the day she passed. 

The support for Lua has been tremendous.   In the interest of transparency I want to make sure everyone who is a part of this fundraiser knows exactly how this money is going to make it's way to her family.  Here is the breakdown of where the funds will be going :

GoFundMe Balance (after fees): $10,107.54

Cremation and Memorial Service: $1295
Consulate Fee: $500
Silver Pendants for Children: $139.90
Memorial Bench: $503.79
Fund to help enable Mantra to travel from Brazil: $250
Wire to Chloe and Lucas college fund: $7,418.85

Since these funds are tied to this fundraiser, many volunteers including Nathan Pepper (Chloe and Lucas's father), Jeremy Conrad, Lua's family and myself have been paying for these things out of pocket or on credit card.  I will withdraw these funds and wire the amounts to the respective parties that are owed.  I will then wire the remaining balance to Liz Pepper (Chloe and Lucas's grandmother) who has already started the college fund for the children.
