Elizabeth Boston Eye Trip
Donation protected
Shortly after Izzy was born she started having problems breathing. Thus started us down a very stressful path to getting her better. Needless to say all the hospitalizations and doctors visits and such, well lets just say that Izzy grew up sooooo quickly, much faster than any child would. Now Izzy has came out of that a gorgeous young lady that rose above all of that and prevailed.
About 3-4 years ago, she started complaining about her eyes. We took her to see a doctor to fing out what might be going on, only to find out that it might be this or might be that. So we chose to see doctors at University of Iowa Hospitals and clinics. After several appts, we took their advice had them do an eye scraping in hopes of helping her eyes, which it did a very very short time. Things started up again but this time it came back with a vegence. After moving to Traverse City, we decided to see doctors at Kellog Eye Center at University of Michigan Health. Things pretty went the same way here as they went with University of Iowa.
Now we continue to see doctors with hopes of things getting better with her eyes but soo far no good change.
We are looking at having her seen at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston because they are the formost authority on eye and ear issues. So if anyone can for sure figure out whats going on with her eyes and possibly fix them or keep them from getting worse they can.
Lastly, Izzy has risen to any challenge given or forced on her and she has came out as a trooper. All we want to do as parents is to show our daughter that everything that has happened in her life is for sure not normal.
It is our hopes to raise as much as we can so we can get our daughter's eyes taken care by the best and the most knowledgeable doctors in the world and the many visits we will more than likely have to make.
All I can say on behalf of my family is thank you to everyone that may help us with trying to get her better or cured. We will keep everyone updated on her progress.
