Support People of Color, one LSAT book at a time
Donation protected
There is an incredible racial disparity in the legal field (especially in the Maritimes)--one that has serious consequences when it comes to racial equity in the justice system.
I am a second year law student at UNB Law. I started this initiative to allows for past/present law students to give their old LSAT books and for disadvantaged people to get books. I've been accepting donations of used LSAT books from my colleagues at UNB Law, and as many people have offered to donate, I've started this page to raise funds to further the cause. Be it to help cover LSAT registration fees, Law School application fees, the purchase of new books when we are short on donations, and shipping costs).
A major barrier of entry to law school for Black people is the high cost of LSAT and law school application. Law school starts with the LSAT, and study materials are the first step.
We accept books in any condition from anywhere in Canada.
We are currently doing contactless pick ups in NS, NB, and PEI. Please email us all your private information for pick up arrangements.
If shipping costs are not an issue, you can mail your book material to the following address:
Youmn Omar
117-845 McLeod Ave
Fredericton NB E3B 9Y4
If shipping costs are an issue, please get in touch with us via E-mail: [email redacted]
Also feel free to email us if you would like to pass along your digitized LSAT material.
Our goal is to have this project carry from year to year. So please consider donating and ultimately providing someone the opportunity to take the test who wouldn't otherwise be able to. Thank you!
