Hello,
My name is Keva Bates and I am trying to save my mother's house from foreclosure. I need to raise $5,000 this month or else. It's very scary not knowing if we will have some place to sleep in a month. I live in Washingto, DC where I moved in with my mama about 2 and a half years ago. By doing this, I contributed to the payments for the household. My mama is Diantha, a retired social worker who had so many resources to help other people but none to help herself. My mother and I have been working really hard to bring her current on her payments. However, at this time, I'm the only person working in our house. My mother has Pulmonary Interstitial Disease which means she needs a lung transplant. In my mama's case, her lungs don't expand as far to take in air when she breaths in. The major symptoms such as hardening of the lungs, is the major reason Diantha needs a lung transplant. Now she is on Oxygen 24/7 that limits what she can do. I'm running out of options and I don't know where else to turn. Friends and family have helped as much as possible. Plus, I started selling my handmade scarves, hats, and pecan pies to bring in extra funds. Between, doctor visits, copays, utilities, car note, and other bills, I'm drowning. Whatever you can do to help us save our home will be greatly appreciated. Thankyou for taking the time to read our story.
