We started this fund to help my niece reach a goal. We want to show her that anything is possible. For this kid, life hasn't been easy. Her mom hasn't been in her life the way a mom should be. In and out of it and never a constant. Her dad (my brother)has tried as best he can to give her a good life. About a year ago he was in a horrible work accident that nearly took his life. He's had multiple surgeries, and by the grace of God, he is still here. Though not to down play his situation, we did almost lose him that first night. Maddy's grandparents (my parents) took her in, and are now in care of her. My parents try to do all they can for her, but times are hard for everyone and we all try and do our part. Since my brothers accident, he hasn't been able to work. Along with fundraisers and chocolate sales we turn here. As a family unit, we will do all we can to make Maddy's dream come true, but we hope that you will find it in your hearts to help a girl who hasn't had it easy, make the journey to becoming a better person in life.
