Emergency Eye Surgery

Please help “Give the Gift of Sight”

I’m raising money for Mrs. Carolyn Morgan 74 years old who resides in Lynchburg, Va. She was recently diagnosed with bilateral retinal hemangioma and cataracts. On Thursday 10/26/18 she was informed she will go blind without emergency surgery. Her license has been restricted due to her condition with 80% vision loss in one eye which is more severe than the other. The cost per eye is $2148 (physicians surgical fee) and $3500 per outpatient surgery at Piedmont Surgical and Eye. Total cost for both procedures is $11,296. Mrs Morgan only has Medicare Part A which only covers hospital admissions at 80% and not outpatient or physicians care. Mrs Morgan is a caregiver for her husband of 54 years Minister Phillip Morgan who loss his arm in a horrific motorcycle accident 25years ago and is disabled. Some may remember Mrs Morgan as the head cook at Headstart in Lynchburg before she was forced to retire due to Rheumatoid Arthritis. Mr Phillip Morgan drove the Lynchburg city bus for over 20 years prior to his accident. They both live on social security benefits and this news is a hardship for them both. Without this surgery she will loss her sight and will be unable to take care of herself and her husband. Whatever amount is not too small and as a community we can restore hope to this humbled family and provide the continued quality of life they both deserve.  Thanking you all in advance for your time and contribution to this family.  As per the Piedmont Eye Center they have a holding for surgery on 11/27/18 and the funds for one eye procedure is due one week prior which is 11/20/18 for $5,648
