Here I would like to share my story.
Many of you know that I have been struggling for years with a congenital vascular malformation (very rare).
On 12/11, I underwent surgery once again. I woke up with paralysis symptoms in my right foot; I could only move my toes.
My surgeon told me that my foot had not fully woken up yet and that everything would certainly be fine… Unfortunately, this was not the case.
When I returned home to start my recovery, I experienced several attacks of severe nerve pain. After some time, my medication was finally adjusted properly, and I received a referral for an EMG (this is to measure nerve impulses).
Sadly, the bad news followed: my peroneal nerve has been very severely damaged as a result of the surgery, and the chances of recovery are minimal. My surgeon hopes that everything will turn out well and told me to give it time, which I will do.
On 12/11, I also woke up with a superficial bruise from the surgery, which slowly evolved into the wound it is now.

On 16/12, I was in such extreme pain from the wound that it began to necrotize.
On 17/12, I had another surgery to clean the wound, and VAC therapy was applied to promote wound healing. Unfortunately, this did not go as planned—the VAC therapy could not do its job due to an excess of fatty tissue.
This past Tuesday, 30/12, a wound care nurse spent a full hour cutting away everything that was preventing the wound from healing… without anesthesia. I can tell you that I truly went through hell during that hour.
And now the wound looks like this. The VAC therapy is being continued until we switch to the LPRF technique, but more about that later.
