Loz's Top Surgery Fund

My name is Loz and I am a 29-year-old working class, non-binary transmasculine person. My brain and my friends are starting to tire of me constantly talking about top surgery, so I have decided that now is the time to do something about it.
I experience very distressing gender dysphoria in relation to my chest all day, every day. I have to wear tight fitting binders and sports bras on a daily basis, which is causing me lots of pain and discomfort. I also suffer from regular migraines and have to take drugs that can cause weird sensations in the chest, which is not a good mix with tight compressors. I’m not entirely flat even when wearing a binder, so I still experience dysphoria anyway.
My experience of dysphoria is constantly feeling like my chest shouldn't look the way it does, and feeling distress whenever I am reminded of it. I fantasise about top surgery constantly; how I will look, how it will feel, the freedom associated with it. Top surgery is my only path to alleviating these feelings of dysphoria and experiencing the gender euphoria that everyone deserves.
Unfortunately, the waiting list time for my local NHS gender identity clinic is three and a half years. This is just for an assessment, so I would be waiting significantly longer to have surgery. The thought of such a long wait is agonising and would be at great cost to my wellbeing when I feel so ready to have this self-actualising experience.
I am therefore reaching out to my community for help raising the funds for me to access top surgery privately, whether you are trans, queer, a friend, or someone in my extended support network. I have paid for private assessments for my surgery referral and am trying to fundraise as much of the £7155 cost of surgery that I can.
I think that the way in which the LGBTQ+ community has normalised crowdfunding to come together to support our community to access the things we are being denied by the system is a beautiful act of solidarity. Any amount you can spare would be life-changing for me.
