Help Save Mike and Kiva's Home

Hi, my name is Kiva. I'm a Giant Malamute -- a really BIG guy -- and I have a forever dad named Mike. He's an honorably discharged Army veteran. I'd like to say I have a forever home, too, but it's not looking good right now. Mike went through a lot of interviews and applications to adopt me, and he came through it all with flying colors. I'd like to say we're inseparable, but I'm getting worried about that, too. A little over a year ago, Mike lost his job on the railroad and his pension, and we got behind on some bills. Like a lot of people in their 50's, starting over wasn't easy for Mike, but he worked really hard to start a new business based on his love of cooking. A lot of people like his food, but it got rough again when his truck was repossessed and he had no way to deliver to his customers. Now the bank wants our house. I adore Mike, and he loves me like a son. Together we're a family and we'd like to keep it that way. We could manage monthly payments, but the bank will not accept them until the arrearages are paid, and that's putting us even further behind. We need to come up with $$$ to get back on track. Maybe if I were smaller, Mike could take me with him to an apartment, or even move in with a friend. But like I said, I'm a really big guy, and not so easy to place.
