Help Loxley get back on his paws...

Hi there - it’s me Loxley. I hope you’re doing ok? For those of you that don’t know me, recently I sadly lost my dad, my best buddy; Phil. It’s been an adjustment for everyone & I know you’re all missing him as much as me. I really miss him chucking that ball for me and showing him how fast I could run each and every day. I have to keep reminding myself to Phil-Up on the happy memories - of which there are so many.

As many of you will know, life took yet another unexpected turn for me recently - when I ran out into the road and got into a tussle with a passing car. I know I gave everyone quite the fright - but I am okay! (and I have learned a very valuable lesson).

Unfortunately, the accident left me needing a little operation on one of my paws. The operation was a big success, and I am now recovering well at home (although they're making me wear this cone on my head which I am REALLY not happy about). My vet bills are stacking up faster than I can chase my tail. My humans love me so much, but as you can imagine, this is a lot for them to handle on top of everything else.

To make matters worse, my insurance decided they’re not going to be able to help cover these bills - due to a complication with the policy since my dad passed away. They’ve left us in a really tough spot. Which is why I’m writing to all of my dad’s friends today.

If I had any money in my doggo bank I’d be emptying it all, to give them a helping paw/hand. But sadly I don’t have any. If you can donate even a little bit, it would mean the world to me (and my humans too). Every pound helps us get closer to getting me back to being a happy, healthy pup. Whether it’s a small contribution or a share of this page with your friends and family, I appreciate it from the bottom of my tail-wagging heart.

With your help, I know I can get the care I need to recover and get back to doing all the things I love — like chasing balls, sleeping, eating and chasing balls.
