Low-income Coop Needs New Boiler

My name is Debbie and I am reaching out with a heartfelt request on behalf of myself and the residents of my low-come co-op in Brooklyn, NY. Our building’s 22 year old boiler is failing and with winter fast approaching we may be faced with unreliable heat and hot water.
Many of our residents are seniors, families with infants and toddlers, who depend on a safe and warm home. Unfortunately, the cost of a new boiler and professional installation far exceeds our current budget. As a modest co-op, we do not have the necessary reserves to cover this urgent expense.
You can help us by:
• Donate: Every contribution brings us closer to restoring warmth to our building.
• Share: Please share this campaign with your networks, friends, and family.
• Support: If you know of organizations or professionals who can assist, please connect us.
All funds raised will go directly to the purchase and installation of a new boiler for our co-op. The cost includes removal of old boiler, additions to the floor in boiler room, pipes, controls, filing fees, any additional upgrades to boiler room as per building department and temporary hook up for hot water with permits and filing fees.
We will provide regular updates on our progress and expenditures. We are deeply grateful for your compassion and generosity during this difficult time.
