This is the most difficult thing I’ve done and I hate having to ask for help when so many are in need, but Hurricane Lowell left our family home on the North Shore of Kauaʻi with significant damage, and the days since have been overwhelming. Parts of our roof were ripped off, dozens of trees were completely uprooted, and we’ve been left without power while trying to clean up and protect what we still have.

The new roofing that we were in the process of laying down got damaged, drywall ruined, debris scattered across the yard. We’ve been doing everything we can as a family, but we’re reaching a point where we could really use some help. We were just updated that we won’t have electricity for at least another 3 weeks, and we are trying to see what equipment we can possibly rent to help haul the debris out before the county’s disposal sites close.

Anything raised will go toward cleanup, replacing the roofing, fuel and possibly hiring help as some trees are way too big for us to manage ourselves.

There’s no words to express my gratitude for all the helping hands and community support after Lowell. We were prepared with basic necessities but had no idea just how strong the winds were going to be. I will post receipts and updates of everything the money is used for!
