Lowan

On Sunday 14th December, Louie lost his best friend, Lowan.
Lowan was just 13 years old and felt that this world was just too heavy. A family is now left without a son and a brother. No one should ever have to endure this pain—especially at this time of year.

Louie is completely heartbroken. As a family, we’ve decided to help him channel his grief into something positive. Alongside a few other ideas, Louie has chosen to raise money to help cover costs that no family should ever have to face.

On New Year’s Day, we will be walking from Emley Moor Mast to Thornhill. Louie is dedicating 2026 to his best friend—or, as they called each other, “twin.”

Louie has gone through life struggling to fit in and feel accepted. When he met Lowan, they instantly clicked. For the first time, they both felt like they truly belonged. Although their friendship was short, it was incredibly meaningful, and one Louie will carry with him forever.

We are asking, from the bottom of our hearts, for your support and to help ease even a small part of the financial pressure on Lowan’s family during this unimaginable time.

If there is one message to take from this, please let it be this: be kind.
Teach your children that words hurt.
Teach them that it’s okay to be different.
But above all, teach them kindness.
