Libby McCleland is our closest friend, our dearest sister, our beloved daughter, granddaughter, mom, cousin, niece, aunt, teacher.  She's there for us every single time we need her, whether it's to offer us a sympathetic ear, or give us a good (needed) boost to get off our duff and DO something.  Now it's our turn to be there for her.

Sunday, January 4, 2015 Libby was admitted to Forsyth Medical Center for pnemonia and flu-like symptoms.   After a full week of countless x-rays, CT scans, bloodwork analysis, and lab cultures, as well as a change in hospitals, doctors and specialists are still unsure what has come over Libby, and in fact may never know precisely what is causing the severity of Libby's condition.  She is currently at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in the ICU unit, receiving ECMO.  

Here's what we do know:
- her hospital stay and eventual at-home recovery are predicted to be slow and lengthy
-after she finally recovers from this illness, she'll need to begin cancer treatment for cervical cancer and has a long year of battles, recovery and sickness ahead
-due to her illness she is unable to work for some time, which coupled with significant hospital bills will make this a tough road for her little family.
