Hello My name is Heidi and I am fundraising for our dear friend and neighbor, Melisa Spangler. Who I would say and all who know Melisa would agree. That she is the most loving, generous and genuine person anyone could be. She has overcome so many obstacles in her life. Yet, still continuously finds ways to give to others. Regardless of her modest income through good times and bad. She’s the type of person who would literally give you the shirt off her back, shop for you when down, give you food from her fridge, take in a homeless dog and so much more. All without hesitation. She is a dedicated wife and mother of two boys with her greatest joy being a grandmother to her granddaughter Penelope. Although she was proactive in receiving her vaccinations early, as to protect herself and others. Unfortunately, she still succame to this awful sickness. So with a heavy heart, I respectfully ask for your help. As she is once again faced with another life threatening battle.

Melisa has been in the hospital with Covid-19 and Pneumonia since 11/28/21 and as of January 2022 is still not home. Due to complications, so far there is no ETA as to when she will be in the clear to be discharged. There is still a long road ahead. I’m confident that once she does however, the bills will start rolling in. Even with insurance. The odds are that the out of pocket expenses between 2021 and 2022 will be a tough pill to swallow. In many cases often exceeding the $100k mark.

So If there is anyway you can help donate towards the upcoming expenses for Melisa and her family in any capacity, would be a tremendous help and greatly appreciated as we pray and patiently await her safe return home.
