Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,

It is with deep sadness that I share the passing of my father, John “RIV” McVey, who left us on 6/21/2025. His loss has left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. He was a kind, humble, and hard-working man who always put others before himself. Whether you knew him as a friend, neighbor, or coworker, you knew how much he cared about people ad how much he deeply cared about his family.

We are doing our best to cope with this heartbreaking loss, but unfortunately, the cost of a proper funeral is more than my brother and I can manage on our own. We want to give him the respectful and loving farewell he deserves—one that reflects the life he lived and the love he gave.

I don’t ask for much but I am asking for any help you can provide toward funeral expenses, which include the service, cremation, and related costs. Every donation, no matter how small, will help ease the financial burden during this very difficult time.
