My name is Rebekah and my family and I are wanting to help our brother Zach and his family out in a very trying time for their young family. Last Tuesday, January 28th Zach was transferred from the Mora Hospital to Abbott Northwestern Hospital due to Influenza A causing a lung infection and pneumonia. On Wednesday he decompensated and required intubation with heavy sedation and a paralytic to keep his body from fighting the ventilator. He was not doing well and needed uncommon interventions to get his lungs to “open up” and accept the oxygen even on the ventilator. Finally on Thursday evening he began stabilizing. A week later and he is still in the ICU intubated. Leah, his wife, has been thrown into the unknown with her 3 young boys and infant daughter.
On top of these last 2 weeks, almost exactly 2 years ago they were all at church when their house caught on fire and burned everything they owned. The youngest at the time was only a couple weeks old. Insurance has been beyond difficult and their world continues to be a struggle.
Zach will not be able to work for many weeks after he gets out of the ICU. He drives truck for Sysco making deliveries all over the cities. He is the breadwinner in the family while Leah cares for the home and 4 kids. Between the continuing home financial issues as well as what will be an extremely expensive ICU stay this wonderful family could really use some help right now. Things like utility, rent, food, gas and hospital bills will be very difficult to manage without income coming in. They do not know I am setting this up, but I know it will go a long way in helping them. Regardless whether you can help financially, Prayers are the very best way you can help them! Our great God has all the means in the world to support them through these trials, this page is just one way He can use and allows us to help when we don’t feel that we can do anything else. Thank you in advance for all Prayers and financial help given.
