Eric and his young daughter Eleanor - both pictured above - need your help. Eric has been battling a very aggressive, incurable form of brain cancer. We are reaching out to solicit donations to help his family in dealing with this catastrophic illness. Your thoughtful gift will help them comfort them, especially in this time of crisis.
After suffering from dizziness spells and debilitating headaches, Eric was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) last April, shortly after moving to Halifax, Canada to be with his one-year old daughter, Eleanor, full-time. Within weeks, Eric temporarily left Eleanor and her mother, Maureen, to embark on an aggressive treatment plan back home near Chicago, Illinois. It was here where he underwent an arduous nine-hour surgery to remove the large, multi-centimeter growth, followed by multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation to halt tumor growth. Eric graduated from treatment in July and returned to Halifax to soak up Eleanor’s love. Upon his return back in Chicago, he received the devastating news that doctors discovered a second tumor on the other side of his brain. Eric will embark on Round 2 of surgery and treatments in the coming weeks.
Through it all, Eric has remained in good spirits and battled like the fierce competitor he is - all while retaining his signature wittiness. On behalf of Eric’s family, we thank you for your support and prayers.
