Scarlett Evelyn Rose Murphy

My name is Brett Elliot, and I am a close friend of Jessica Kish and Clancy McInnis, who just experienced the sudden loss of their week old daughter, Scarlett Evelyn Rose Murphy.

Jessica and Clancy recently moved from Whitehorse, Yukon to Clancy's home town of Murphy's Cove (Tangier), Nova Scotia. They were excited to spend Jessica's maternity leave raising Scarlett by the ocean, surrounded by Clancy's maternal heritage.

Their plans were tragically cut short, and they are now facing financial challenges while grieving the loss of their daughter.

As we are on opposite sides of the country, I found myself at a loss for how to help them in their time of need.

Because of this, I've set up this GoFundMe to assist them during this difficult time.

All funds raised will go directly to Jessica and Clancy to help them through the difficult times ahead, including the costs of cremation, celebration of life, counselling, and helping them move back to the Yukon from Nova Scotia.

Clancy and Jessica could be in Whitehorse as soon as November 1st, and will need a dog-friendly place to self-isolate, as well as find long-term accommodations and furniture. If you can support them in this way, please contact me directly.
