Loving Pastor Ron, into Assisted Living

Ron was diagnosed with Dementia in 2021. Since then, His cognitive and physical functioning have steadily declined. Many of you have kept up with Rons progress and kept him in your prayers. As his journey continues, more needs arise. As of New Years Day, Ron was admitted into the hospital after losing both motor function and was non weight baring for several hours. Some of that functioning has returned, but Ron is no longer able to live at home, nor is Kathy able to provide the level of care that he needs. Accordingly, the family made the decision to move Ron into an assisted living facility. The initial cost for admission was over $10,000, ($3000.00 was required as a non-refundable, one-time community fee and $7,750 for the initial payment). The ongoing monthly costs have yet to be determined, based on the facilities, initial assessments of Ron’s functioning. While they have some savings, we are hoping that they don’t have to completely drain it in order for Ron to receive the care that he needs.
