Loving on LorrieLorrie is a wife, mother, daughter, sister, exceptional friend, community leader and so much more. She is always first in line to volunteer, organize and help out in any situation. She has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Now we all know how stubborn Lorrie is and she is also quite the fighter. She has vowed to fight cancer with everything she has.
So many have asked how we can help, what we can do and are feeling helpless. A meal train won’t really work as cancer is a thief of your appetite and things just don’t taste the same. We really have no idea what needs will come up along this journey. It may be food, rentals of medical equipment, prescriptions, medical bills and other unknown expenses. I know their insurance is changing and they will have to meet a new out of pocket deductible again.
I am setting up this Go Fund Me account to offset any expenses this disease brings for the Angell family. I have known Lorrie since 1981 when we first met at Brenau Women’s College, pledged the same sorority, Chi Omega, and were even roommates for a time. She is the most loving and giving person I know and is fiercely loyal to friends and causes. Please consider donating if you are able and share this post with others who know and love our Lorrie.
