Our beautiful mother, Laura D'Annibale-Sims, passed away in her home surrounded by family on May 9, 2020. Just one day before mothers day.
Everyone who met our mother loved her. She had the remarkable ability to make friends where ever she went. She had the biggest heart and the kindest, most generous spirit. Laura spent her life making sure everyone felt at home when they were in her presence. She had the power to really see people. She always knew just what to say to make you feel safe, loved & important. Her snarky jokes always got laughs and even during the last few days of her life, she was able to bring everyone together and make people smile.
The outpouring of love we saw our mother receive this past week has been truly overwhelming. We are all so lucky to have known her.
Laura has had health issues for quite some time and it was impossible to get her affordable life insurance. We decided to start a GoFundMe to help with moms end of life expenses and making sure my stepfather and younger siblings don't have to stress about money during this very difficult time. Money will be used for moms final arrangements, her memorial, and to relieve the burden of stress for my family so they can grieve this enormous loss. All donations are appreciated from the bottom of our hearts.
