Loving Laura into the Sunset❤️✨

Hi! My name is Kayla, and my good friend April needs a little bit of love and support. Let me tell you about her magical mother, Laura.

Miss Laura was 62 years old when she was diagnosed with breast cancer and 64 years old when it her fight became too complicated and the disease took her beautiful life— the life that she spent in her own quiet struggles, sacrificing her personal desires so that those around her could have more, go further, and be better.

In addition to raising her family, she dedicated her time to caring for others and the ones that she held dear.

This life path didn’t surprise any of her 7 siblings that had all bet she’d grow to be a teacher. She had been the “little nurturer” growing up despite being the middle child. She was born and raised in Cleveland, and that’s where she stayed to raise her 3 children, Mark, April, and Corey. Mark transitioned from this plane shortly after his arrival, and this loss is one that Miss Laura struggled with for the rest of her life.

She used the pain from the loss of her first child to teach to April and Corey to be positive always, to keep fighting no matter what, and that they could always, always call on her. Now, they will cherish every sighting of every cardinal and carnation that presents itself, as Miss Laura really loved them both AND the deep red colors of them. (She also reallllly loved snow tigers, but we’re hoping there aren’t any of those roaming around on our 2025 bingo cards!)

Laura spent. most of her time gushing about her 3 grandchildren, Alexis, TJ, and Aliyah. Then, in 2023, Alexis blessed her world with a beautiful grandson, MJ.

Unfortunately, Miss Laura transitioned before she was able to set aside enough for herself to cover her own end of life expenses.
