Joyce has dedicated her life to making a difference in our world and helping others. Joyce's love reaches far and wide and we hope you will join in helping in her time of need. Joyce had a stroke on August 16th and was hospitalized. Her family believes being home in her familiar surroundings (instead of going into a nursing home/rehab) will give her the best chance for recovery. The stroke left her with the inability to move her right hand/arm or her right leg, which means she needs 24 hour care. Her family is working with West Marin social services to get as much support as possible in addition to home health visits (nurse, speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy). Her daughter Cindy has temporarily moved into the house to be Joyce's primary caregiver. In October, caregivers must be hired for round the clock care and support and in the next few weeks adaptations to her bathroom and the entrance to her home are necessary to make it accessible for her. (I'm Betty and a big Joyce fan. I met Joyce through Halleck Creek and the Rogue River Trips for the disabled. Thank you for sending your love and if you are able to contribute, for your donation. ❤️
