Hi Everyone. Today I’d like to ask you for help with prayers, meals, and/or donations for Valentina Ortiz. Vale is only 7 years old and was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma two years ago. Rhabdomyosarcoma is a rare type of cancer and its treatment has been severe.

Despite going through aggressive rounds of chemo and radiation, Valentina has remained a loving, sweet, happy, and strong girl. She loves to draw, paint, do her makeup, and dance. She also thrives on being around people. Even though she is currently having difficulty breathing and moving, she often tells us that she is not in pain and that she is ok. She has been a blessing and a shining light for those of us who surround her. Valentina was undergoing chemo, but recently began to have daily episodes of bleeding. Her doctors said this was a side effect from radiation treatments she received several months ago. Vale was also getting blood transfusions weekly, but her family eventually had to take her to the hospital due to her physical deconditioning and now constant bleeding. Valentina spent some time in the ICU, but her medical team has informed her family that nothing else can be done at this point. At this time, Valentina is at home with her family. Valentina’s parents, Isis and Miguel, are in dire need of monetary donations to help with the astronomical costs associated with caring for a very medically fragile, terminally ill child, and/or pediatric medical personnel that can volunteer to help to administer medications or assist with her care. Any type of assistance that you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Her family thanks each of you deeply for your assistance, and they hope that the Lord will bless you all with graces, love, and infinite blessings.

Hola a Todos. Hoy quería pedir su ayuda con oraciones, comidas, y/o donaciones para Valentina Ortiz. Vale tiene 7 añitos y hace 2 años fue diagnosticada con rhabdomyosarcoma, el cual es un cancer que no es común y su tratamiento ha sido bien severo. 

Apesar de haber empezado con quimioterapias y radiaciones agresivas, Valentina nunca ha dejado de ser una niña amorosa, dulce, alegre y fuerte. Le encanta dibujar, pintar, maquillarse, bailar, y estar rodeada de mucha gente. Aún con la dificultad que está teniendo para respirar y moverse, siempre nos dice que no tiene dolor y que está bien. Ella ha sido una bendición y una luz que brilla para todos los que la rodeamos.

Valentina estaba recibiendo quimioterapia pero recientemente empezó a tener sangrado diario. Los doctores nos explican que esto es un efecto secundario de unas radiaciones que le hicieron hace muchos meses, las cuales también le producieron unas quemaduras superficiales. Estaba recibiendo transfusiones de sangre semanal, pero toco llevarla al hospital debido a su deterioro físico y sangrado constante. En el hospital, Valentina estuvo en cuidados intensivos hasta que le information a su familia que no podían hacer nada más por su niña. En este momento, Valentina está en casa con su familia. Los padres de Valentina, Isis y Miguel, desesperadamente necesitan de donaciones monetarias para ayudarlos con los costos astronómicos asociados con atender a una niña médicamente frágil, y con una enfermedad terminal. También si algún profesional de pediatría pudiera asistir con administración de medicamentos, o con el cuidado de Valentina, esta seria una gran ayuda. Cualquier tipo de asistencia seria infinitamente apreciada por la familia de Valentina, durante estos momentos tan difíciles.
