Hi, my name is Balwinder Chahal, and I’m raising funds for the funeral of my dear friend Gurdev Kumar — a kind, hardworking man who was taken from us far too soon.

Gurdev moved from Italy a few years ago, full of hope for a better life. He worked tirelessly to support his family, always with a warm heart and quiet strength. Tragically, he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and passed away after a brave fight.

He leaves behind a loving wife and two young children who are now facing life without him. We’re asking for your help to give Gurdev a dignified farewell and to support his family during this heartbreaking time.

ਸਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਜੀ, ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਬਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਚਾਹਲ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਦੀ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਲਈ ਫੰਡ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ — ਜੋ ਇਕ ਦਿਆਲੂ ਤੇ ਮਿਹਨਤੀ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਜਲਦੀ ਛੱਡ ਗਿਆ।

ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਕੁਝ ਸਾਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਟਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਉਮੀਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਇਕ ਚੰਗੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਥੇ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦਿਨ-ਰਾਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕੀਤੀ, ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਇੱਕ ਗਰਮਜੋਸ਼ ਦਿਲ ਅਤੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਚਾਪ ਹਿੰਮਤ ਨਾਲ। ਦੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੌਥੇ ਦਰਜੇ ਦਾ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੌਂਸਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਈ ਲੜਣ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਦਮ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਪਤਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੋ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਹੁਣ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਅਸੀਂ ਮਦਦ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਇੱਜ਼ਤਦਾਰ ਵਿਦਾਈ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੁਖਦਾਈ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੇ।
