Super fun Grandpa wants live past 2020!

Grandpa Charles, now 62 years old, was diagnosed for the 3rd time with stage 4 cancer on September 4th, 2020. For the past 10 years, Charles has endured over 50 surgeries and countless treatments. His positive attitude and unwavering fighting spirit have allowed him to live a happy life and meet his grandchildren. Unfortunately, cancer rendered Charles unable to work consistently over the past 10 years and significantly crippled his ability to earn money. This lack of income was exacerbated by the high financial cost of the treatments in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Charles is now at risk to lose his home and not getting the treatment he needs. The money raised will go to him for his treatments.

Charles has made an impact all over the world in helping people throughout his life; cleaning up beaches of trash, taking in homeless teenagers in their home for months at a time in their local community, giving their time and money to orphanages overseas, volunteering with the Red Cross in Africa by donating and transporting hundreds of containers of food at no cost, and helping religious organizations to deliver their charitable services. In the last 10 years, Charles also focused his time on helping other cancer patients as well.

Charles is a loving husband,  an amazing father of 4 children, and the goofiest grandpa of 4 grandkids. Through all this, his main concern has not been about himself but his family and the financial burden of the treatments. All he wants is to be able to start working so he can ensure that his wife does not lose their home with so many good memories.

To the amazement of his team of doctors, Charles has won the fight over stage 4 cancer twice; in 2009 and 2016. His doctors praise his positive attitude that he spreads to other patients while in treatment. Some of the treatments that have helped him in the past are not covered by medical insurance are and costly.
