Loving Father "Ruben Hernandez" Funeral

My father was an amazing person in his life, he cared about everyone he came into contact with. He has been in a coma for almost 7 years now and was strong throughout the whole way. He fought off anything life threw at him, he managed to not be infected with Covid-19 at the rehabilitation he was located at, out of hundreds of other patients with him in that building he did not show symptoms or even caught the virus. On Friday April 2nd, 2021 we received a call about his breathing, he wasn't doing too well and was needed to be put onto a ventilator in order to stay alive. My older sister did not hesitate and booked a flight the same day to come visit him not knowing when he will leave this earth.  The next following days were extremely heart breaking to everyone related to him, we couldn't believe that his time on this earth was coming to an end.  We had a talk that nobody ever thinks about until its too late, we discussed and came to a conclusion that we didnt want to see him suffer anymore, he was tired from fighting everything and just wanted to rest, we decided to let him pass away peacefully. When we talked with him we tried our best to let him now that there is no need for him to be afraid, that he we will be okay and if he wants to leave, that he can and we wont be upset, we just want him to feel rested and to look over us. Tuesday comes and that was the day our father should of passed, the nurse informed us that that medication they gave him to let him pass away without any pain can take as little as a few hours until he goes, my father did not pass away within the first few hours, he fought till the very end with all that he had left. Friday April 9th between 12:55 am and 1:00 am is the time and date my father passed away at the age of 56. He was loved and did not die alone, he had his family visit him and had people with him when he passed away. My father is finally in peace now and everyone that he personally knew will make him proud in their own way.  Your presence will live on within us dad and know we love you.
