Lovey Angel Ada Cesena. Darling Daughter. Loving Wife. Doting Mother to three amazing little boys. Loving Sister to eight older siblings. And Awesome Aunt to over 50 nieces and nephews.
This beautiful soul lost her long battle with cancer at age 34 in the early morning hours on Monday, August 9th. She passed at home several hours after being surrounded, both in person and via Zoom, by all her family. It was only hours before her passing that we sang to her, prayed for her, and professed our love, faith, and testimonies around her. She passed KNOWING the abundance of love she gave, faith she shared, and Christ-like example she showed was unconditionally and undeniably returned by every member of her family. Lovey's life was always centered around her family and I know leaving us, especially her dear husband and sons, must have been the hardest thing she ever had to do but I also believe it was the biggest sacrifice she ever had to make. For I know, as well as many of her family knows, that the only reason she would be called to leave this earthly existence would be to do an even greater work on the other side and we have faith that her early exit from this life was part of the Lord's plan for her.
Having faith that she is where she is meant to be, free of pain and struggles, doesn't make the hole she left in our lives and hearts any smaller. This time has been extremely difficult for every member of our family but the pain has been the most unimaginable for her husband and her mother. I am here to ask that you help us lighten their load a little by assisting with the financial burden sudden sickness and death can leave on a family, especially at such a young age. We have asked for $20,000 to help with funeral costs and to set up a small nest egg for Jose, Lovey's husband, to have as he tries to rebuild his and their boys' life.
Jose has been a pillar of strength and unconditional love for Lovey's through her entire journey. Many do not know that he quite his job many months ago to take on being Lovey's full time caretaker. He served her with compassion and adoration. He stayed strong through the multiple trials that came at them, including many that didn't have to do with her cancer. He continued to be an amazing dad to their 3 boys: Lorenzo (5), Gary (3), and Mateo (9mos). Together, they never backed down from any challenge the world threw at them and she was so grateful she had him as a partner through it all. He was her rock and soul and she loved him with everything she had. She told me on multiple occasions how proud she is of him and how she couldn't go on as long as she did without him.
As the days move forward, he will need to begin to rebuild with their boys' and although, he will always have the support of their families, lingering medical bills, growing boys, and the day to day expenses of life will continue to mount as he finds his footing and another job. Our family does not want money to be the cause of more stress while he puts back the pieces of their life after giving so much to his wife and family. So, again, I ask that you help us reach our goal of $20,000 for all costs, bills, and hopefully a little extra for the man that gave Lovey the life she always dreamed of. The man that sparked that glowing smile you see in all her family photos, the man that is the kind of father to her children she always hoped of, the man who was HER angel. He was her happily ever after and I could never thank him enough for being everything she ever needed. The beautiful family they made together has always been her greatest joy and always will be her everlasting legacy.
Lovey entered her battle with cancer the way she entered this world; with determination, faith, and hope and held on strong to those ideals throughout her entire journey. She exuded strength and love throughout her life even up until the very end. She was a devoted daughter, a loving wife, and an amazing mother. Lovey brightened SO many lives with her bright smile and contagious laugh. She served so many throughout her life and taught many about Christ-like service through her example. Lovey will always be in our hearts. Her memories will forever bring smiles to our face. She will be missed every single day but her life and spirit will live on through all those who knew her. Every soul she touched, I believe, was changed for the better. I know she will continue to look down on us from above. She will never be too far away. She is now and forever will be our guardian angel. #LoveyAngel
Love always,
Her Niece, Madison Parker, and the rest of the Jacobson/Cesena Family
