My name is Calvin Wooten I am a founder and executive director of Love Transformation Project,(LTP). LTP is a 501 (c) (3) EIN # 81-2332323, community development outreach program in Louisville Kentucky.
At our core, LTP Is a hands on, heart in street ministry. Over the past 17 months we have :
* Grown to a 250 rotating volunteer base.
* Served over 20,000 plates of food to the homeless and the needy children&families in the Shelby Park community.
* Provide clothing, hygiene products and free haircuts to hundreds of the people we regularly serve.
We have been a hand to hold onto and a shoulder to cry upon. LTP has assisted several of our homeless friends with housing; furnishing these houses as well as maintaining food supplies and basic necessities. Our greatest asset is our ability to simply love a broken community right where it is. In that process LTP has opened the doors to their hearts and minds to receive a ministry message of hope, faith and love.
LTP is now at a pivotal stage in our growth… That is funding. The Louisville community at-large has graciously and generously responded with their time, treasures and talents. Our cup runneth over with:
*. Storage areas full of supplies, furniture and household items.
* Rooms filled with clothing & hygiene products.
*. Spaces loaded with food.
That said, our impressive growth and effectiveness in ministering to the Shelby Park community compels us to find more space. To that end, LTP seeks a larger space to lease or buy that consolidates are operating strategies. This includes a large enough space to accommodate the following.
*. All storage areas for food, clothing, hygiene products, home furnishings and infant needs.
*. Room to render remedial dental and medical services for all genders and ages.
*. A Small " learning center"for kids and youth.
*. Space for a commercial kitchen and serving area.
*. Space for providing free hair care for all genders and ages.
In addition to securing this much needed space, some of the financial support we raise will help to fund nominal salaries of two employees who will take care of all operational responsibilities.
