Help Koby Lovelady Fight Leukemia

On January 12th, Koby was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (aka type b-all) Koby started treatment the very next day, but he and his family have a long road ahead. Every dollar raised will go directly to the Lovelady family.
On February 21st 2011, proud new parents – Brett and Jenny Lovelady welcomed their first and only boy into the world – Koby Lovelady. Weighing in at 4lbs 11oz, Koby was a very healthy little boy with enough love to fill the earth and all of the people in it.
Now, in 2015, Koby has grown into quite the handsome boy…. Just a quick glance and your heart will melt by his adorable brown eyes and the cutest little pair of glasses you have ever seen. His personality is exactly the same - always smiling, full of energy, and full of LOVE. I guess that is all you would expect when that is what he has been learning from day 1 from his very loving and caring family.
As any young kids do these days, Koby loves to play on the Wii, and his Kindle Fire, along with anything that comes on wheels. Monster Trucks, Matchbox Cars, Tractors, you name it. He makes sure not to go too fast, because when he gets older, he wants to be a cop. Saving the community 1 fast driver at a time.
Nowadays, he is still racing around in racecars, only this time he gets to do it around doctors, nurses, and other patrons at Blank Children’s Hospital (I’m sure he is getting some phone numbers while he’s at it too!).
On January 12, 2015, Brett and Jenny Lovelady got the news that Koby was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). Being that I don’t have any children, I can’t even imagine all of the things a parent would feel when hearing those words come out of a doctor’s mouth. I didn’t have to. The minute Brett walked in the door to tell us the news, I could see every emotion he was feeling, every thought that was racing through his mind, and see that he felt absolutely helpless for his little boy.
However, after two very successful treatments of chemo, little Koby is proving to his dad and family that those bad cells in his body WILL NOT take over his life, personality, and constant burst of life. Although he is still the happy little boy he has always been, him and his family will have a very long road ahead – being approximately 3.5 years of chemo.
It takes an army. Together, we may not be able take the cancer cells out of his body, but we can make it an easier road for them to travel on to success financially. All we ask is that if you can spare $1.00, $5.00, or even $100.00, we can be that much closer to our goal of $45,000.00. Every penny raised will go to the Lovelady family, and will forever be cherished.
