Every once in a while, you have the opportunity to meet someone who is so full of life that just seeing them puts a smile on your face. For many of us that person is Prudence Chapple. If you’ve ever been to Mario’s South Side Saloon in Pittsburgh, PA, then odds are you know Pruddy, and to know her is to love her. Without hesitation, Pruddy will offer you a kind word or good joke to make your day better than when it started. This hard working, sweet little spitfire of a woman has captured many of our hearts. She has given so much of herself to others, most of whom were complete strangers, and now Pruddy needs us to give back. Pruddy has recently been diagnosed with Stage IV cancer; the site of origin is unknown and the cancer has metastasized to her lungs and spine. She has undergone radiation treatments and will begin her first round of chemotherapy within the next week. Pruddy is without health insurance and has accumulated outrageous medical bills since the start of her treatments. She is no longer able to work and is ineligible for unemployment benefits, leaving her with no income. In order for Pruddy to attend her medical appointments, reside in her home, and maintain expenses, we must raise money.
