Lauren lost her husband to a massive heart attack less than 6 months ago.  As you can imagine, she has been devastated.  She is a strong woman and has done her best to take care of their home, all the finances, and deal with the emotional stress that comes with losing your best friend.  Unfortunately, their flood insurance policy lapsed during this time.

On April 18, 2016 Lauren's home was severely damaged in the rain storms that hit Houston, TX.  The flood waters were above her knees in her home and all of her cloth furniture and sheetrock was completely destroyed.  She needs our help.

Her close friends created this fundraiser together to help replace her furniture and assist with some of the other expenses like sheetrock repairs.  She called FEMA, but does not qualify for assistance because her neighborhood has not been declared a disaster, yet.
