First, we want to thank each and every one of you who have stood, believed and most importantly prayed for Lacey Rose and our family over the past 2 years. You have mostly become a second family to us. Your support and prayers mean more to us than you will ever know. Second, today we posted the video of Lacey walking in her walker. Anthem has denied Lacey twice for not only this walker, but a standard and also a power chair. Each of which have been reccomended by her therapists and Doctors. Although for now we can get by without the standard and powerchair, Laceys need for a walker remains. Lacey currently scoots with one arm to maneuver around the house, it is the only arm that can bend out enough to reach the floor. This is an awesome answer to prayer that she can be mobile as Doctors told us it was never a possibility but will have long term effects on her shoulder, neck, arm, wrists and hand from bearing the weight only on one side. Lacey can walk with her medical walker all over the house. The medical walker that she is currently using was given on loaner from the company until hers was approved by insurance. Unfortunately, with the second denial in place, they have asked that we return the walker and her only source for mobility will be her right arm again. Lastly, we NEVER intended Lacey's page to be a forum to raise money. It was put into place for prayers and support for our journey with her. After posting the video today we received about 40 private messages suggesting a gofundme for Lacey's walker, it became clear to me that you all want to do this for her because she has touched your life. Many of you feel a connection to her and want to be a blessing to her life. Because of this, Chris and I agreed that this is about Lacey and her needs so we formed this fundraiser on her behalf. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If and when we hit our goal, they will come and take Lacey's measurements and a new custom medical walker will be hers.
