Love Bug Lili's Surgery

Hello everyone! My name is Lili, also know as Love Bug Lili. I am an 8 year old bully girl who was found by a member of the bulldog community on Instagram waiting at a shelter in Milpitas, California. Sometime late August I was surrendered by my former family because my severe dry eye and mammary tumors were too costly. At first they wanted to put me down, but the nice people at the shelter talked my family into surrendering me and giving me another chance. I guess my smile helped me out!

They cleaned me up nice- got me spayed, my mammary tumors removed, and gave me a good dental cleaning. By the time I caught the eye of who rescued me, I had been at the shelter for over 3 weeks. Families came and went.. no one wanted to take care of a senior girl. Fast forward to today: I am free and living with my new dad with the help of so many people in Northern California who love bulldogs like me. 

After just a couple days, my dad and pupsitter discovered I am potty trained, sleep through the night, am very people and dog friendly and really, I just have a lot of love to give. 

Here is where I need your help- Because of years without proper care, my eyes developed corneal scarring and cloudiness and I have severe dry eye which requires medication daily. My dad thinks I may need entropion (eyelid) surgery but I need to see a special doctor for that. My eyes will be expensive, but my dad and everyone that helped save my life is rooting for me, so I have to do my hardest to get them taken care of. I think that means, I need to smile REAL big this time.
