Love Bug Eye Removal!
Donation protected
Do you believe in fate? I do.... last week I went to the shelter spontaneously to get a kitten that no one wanted. But as I was leaving I decided to see if anyone else was there needing help. The only cages in the kitten room had one little dog and this poor girl in the corner of her cage covered in fleas, shaking with a severely infected eye. I asked about her - she was just brought in, emaciated and destined to be euthanized in very short time. I couldn't leave her for dead.
So I asked if I could have her and they were quite surprised and happy to send her with me. She was covered in fleas even after flea treatment. I had to have taken off at least a hundred. On Saturday evening her eye started to bleed indicating that it has ruptured so Monday she had it removed by Oaks Veterinary. The eye was fully ruptured with severe infection. She is going to be so happy to have that pesky eye gone!
Of course I couldn't save these kittens without help from people like you. Wrenn Rescues Inc. is officially a non-profit corporation and will be a 501c3 in just a few short weeks.
I truly believe I was meant to be there that day to save her life. We named her Bug, not just cause she was covered in them, but she is a little love Bug. Cant wait to see her thrive and find the perfect home ♥️ Make sure to follow @wrennrescues on Instagram to follow her recovery .
Thank you so much for your support of my rescue efforts.
We had to increase the goal from $1500 to $1750 to cover her additional medical bills to fix her infection.
UPDATE!
Yesterday 6/19 we saw two kittens needing urgent help at the Downey Animal Shelter. One of the 2 girls had a ruptured eye and the other had an eye needing treatment. We were able to rescue both of them and get them to my vet (who will be caring for them the next 2 weeks!) who performed emergency surgery last night to remove the ruptured eye. Instead of starting a new GoFundMe, I have increased this one to cover both of the surgeries. Knowing that we were able to help them and the offer from my vet to help me with them over the next few weeks, I couldn't say no. Thank you for your support of these kittens. I couldn't do this without your help!
