Larry -- Recovering Victim from Shooting in Dallas

Monday, 14 September, a family member received a call from an anonymous person saying that our brother, (my twin) had been robbed in Downtown Dallas, Tx and shot at close range in the face over the weekend.
I think I held my breath waiting for all of the information, and then my thoughts vanished into thinking, this isn't happening ... and I lost the words that were coming out of phone. We spent the entire night looking for him to find out which hospital he was checked into.
Without his wallet and him unconscious, it took us what felt like days to find him. When I got the first photo proving it was Larry, a part of me died. I was told and he was in need of 2 emergency surgeries. (1) a blood transfusion because the left brain was not getting enough blood and (2) reconstructive surgery to put his jaw back together.
Larry is alive and there is no brain damage. He is just traumatized and hurt and I have to do what I can to make sure he heals with all the love around me and him.
Imagine being robbed and shot up close in the face and waking up to this nightmare.
All I can say now is that this is an exhausting world we live in and it still makes me disappear a little inside just imagining how insane and scary this whole situation must be for him. He has been through A LOT, we both have, and this is all just a little more than I can handle alone.
The goal is to help with expenses for up to 12 months. I will have this fundraiser live for a for as long as we can, so no pressure to help out now if you can't at this time.
