As I turn 27, I am filled with rage and helplessness as witness to the war crimes happening in Gaza, where children, youths, young people with hopes and dreams just like me will likely not see it to 27. I will be donating £2700 and will match all donations 1:1 as per my birthday week.
Loveaid SG is a Singaporean aid effort by Singaporean philanthropist Gilbert Goh based in Gaza operated by local volunteers for the past 8 years. Currently running 2 polyclinics in North Gaza with intentions to open a third.
Israeli forces and private contractors have enforced a fucked up militarized aid distribution system transforming aid distributions into bloodbaths. The horrific humanitarian crisis is a direct result of Israel’s use of starvation of civilians as a weapon of war—a war crime. Israel’s continued intentional deprivation of aid and basic services is a crime against humanity. This is the moment for us, the international community watching from the sidelines to put our best foot forward to fight for human good.
Funds donated will go to LOVEAID SG’s medical budget and meal distribution plan at local hospitals and the orphan sponsorship programme for children who have lost their parents in the conflict.
