Love Your Mamma - Silvia, Jake & Dylan

This is one of the hardest things I have had to write. But we won't let cancer win.
Our mum, Silvia Signore, is the kind of woman who spent her entire life giving everything to us. She raised us with love, humour, resilience - even when she had nothing. She’s always been the rock of our family, the quiet protector, and the one who made something out of nothing for her children.
Today, Our Mum, Silvia is fighting for her life.
Last year, she was diagnosed with stage III colorectal cancer. What followed was an aggressive course of treatment - major surgery, chemotherapy, countless appointments, and procedures. She faced all of it with unshakable strength, even as her body weakened and her pain intensified.
We thought we were in the clear - but earlier this year, we were told the cancer had spread. It returned in her pelvis and reproductive area. A second major surgery was needed, and we were forced to relive the trauma all over again. Post-surgery, we discovered that this cancer is extremely aggressive and fast-moving - and if we don’t act fast, we could lose her.
We’re now preparing to take Mum to Germany for a highly specialised, integrative treatment protocol that could give her more time. Time to live, to heal, to just be here with us. This next phase involves four weeks of intensive therapy, and the total cost is expected to be around $120,000, including treatment, accommodation, and flights.
We’ve already spent over $100,000 of our own money on her care so far - we’ve emptied savings, paused growth of business, and sacrificed everything we can, and we’re prepared to carry most of the weight of this trip ourselves.
But this fundraiser isn’t just about getting her to Germany - it’s about helping Mum come home to some level of security.
She can’t work. She’s exhausted. She’s lost weight, she’s in constant discomfort, and she’s been enduring weekly treatments, supplements, infusions, and blood tests - often paying hundreds and often thousands of dollars at a time, just to hold things together between major milestones.
Every day, she worries about being a burden. She apologises for the cost, even while we watch her suffer. She’s tired - not just from the cancer, but from the weight of knowing what it’s taken for us to keep her going. The toll on all of us has been so much to bear, and we desperately want to return to a normal life, with her grandkids and future ahead of her.
We’re asking for $20,000 - not to save her life, but to support her life. So she can return from Germany with the ability to continue treatment. To not have to choose between medication and groceries. To access specialists and pain management. To feel safe. To feel supported. To know she isn’t alone.
We’re doing everything in our power to keep Mum going - not just longer, but better.
If you can give or just share this post - no matter how small - you’re helping us carry her through this.
With all the love in the world,
Jake & Dylan
*New Update*
We’ve just been exclusively introduced to a clinical trial in Sydney - one that could offer another layer of hope after Mum returns from Germany.
The cost to participate is $7,000 AUD, and we’re currently going through pretesting and eligibility checks while overseas. If we’re able to raise enough, any remaining funds from this campaign will also go toward securing her place in this trial.
We’ll be documenting every step of this journey - not just for Mum, but in the hope that one day, it can help guide other families facing the same impossible choices.
