the State of Nevada has FINALLY thrown me a bone, and countered my Offer in Compromise.

We have $4500 for the original offer, and they countered at $15, 749. (The remaining principal.) The catch is we MUST come up with the rest in the next 30 days, or the offer will expire. I am reaching out for any support you are able to provide.

I am overwhelmed with joy at the thought of finally getting my passport, being able to share my husbands world with him, and finally meeting his amazing family. I have dreamed of sharing his magical world for so long, and now it's within reach and I am so incredibly grateful.

As many of you know I have been battling the State of Nevada Child Support Division regarding this debt for over 20 years. Sadly, my daughter has never had the opportunity to benefit from, or receive any portion of the nearly $24,000 dollars that I have paid. I have unsuccessfully tried to re-pay this debt, or find a reasonable resolution. Unfortunately, the $24k rarely touched the principal so here we are.

In May, after months of careful preparation, I filed another Offer In Compromise. I printed and mailed 860 pages of medical records, covering Dec 2017 - May 2021. The documents included my many diagnosis that make work and my daily life a painful struggle.

The issue began in 1999. I was unaware I owed child support until I was handed a check from Circus Circus for $0.00. At that time, I was easily located I wasn't hiding in some remote location under a rock. I had Kaylee-bug every weekend, however oddly enough I was never served child support documentation. It did not make sense. I was actively working to regain custody from the Custodial Grandmother, who was preventing reunification by any means necessary. When I asked her if she knew they were trying to reach me for child support, she stated, "Yes I did, but I didn't want to get David mad, and I knew you would tell him so I didn't say anything." I still to this day don't understand how this was legal. At any rate, I immediately returned to court to ask for an adjustment. I was a server making $4.15 per hour, and unable to buy justice. At that time I already owed nearly $17,000 . I explained that I had not made nearly that in 27 months, which they already knew. I petitioned them to retroactively adjust the $637 a month hoping for reason and justice. The simple responded, "I am sorry we don't move backwards, we only move forwards." The system that was already failing my daughter in the custody case, had just crippled our lives further. The things they have taken over the years are egregious to say the least. Here is a few, I have never received Earned Income Credit, Income tax returns, or stimulus. One semester they intercepted my student loan directly from my bank account, I was unable to attend, and it over drafted my account by over $1000 dollars. The worst of their greed took Douglas' savings when he was 12, because my social security number was associated with his account.

BUT... The time has finally come to release it all.
