Love Warriors Isaac & Nathan

Hello, my name is Lisa Wilson and I’m raising money for two love warriors! Brother, Isaac and Nathan.

-Nathan Hopkins 6 years old (Donor)

Isaac was born with rare form of Sickle Cell disease. A disease that affects the shape of his normally "round" red blood cells and causes them to have a "C" or sickle shape instead. This condition causes the cells to bunch up in his blood stream causing severe pain. His pain has caused him

to be hospitalized over 20 times in his short life

to treat his pain with medications like Morphine and Dilaudid. The idea of him just running and

playing outside is met with extreme caution

because the onset of a pain crisis always haunts him. In his current condition he will probably

never get to play any type of organized sport

without the risk of damaging his vital organs.

We found out his little brother Nathan is a

match to become a bone marrow transplant

Donor. Isaac will have to go through

Chemotherapy where he will be stripped of his

immune system to prepare his body for his

brothers bone marrow. He will probably loose

his hair and is likely to become sterile in the

process. This year we are scheduling the

procedure that will hospitalize him for around 6 weeks and another 4 weeks of living near the

hospital for frequent appointments with his

doctors. The hospital is located over an hour

away from our home and we will need to

relocate part of our family so he is never alone.

THIS IS A CURE! When all is said and done he

will no longer have Sickle Cell disease.
