Love Through the Process

Our sister in Christ, my best friend Carmen Nieves was diagnosed with breast cancer last October. For all who know Carmen, know that she is an extraordinary human being. She is loving, caring, compassionate and outgoing.

Carmen has been through intense chemotherapy and will now be undergoing surgery. She has maintained incredibly strong through this process. Keeping a smile on her face and being a helping hand to all her loved ones, family, friends, and her church. Although her body was touched by this scary condition, her heart and faith has not changed one bit.

Due to all of her treatments she has been unable to work. Unfortunately she had to go on short term disability,(that alone was hard cause she felt like she was letting her co-workers down). Which does not provide a full pay. Some of her medical bills are not covered by her insurance and along with necessary daily living expenses, finances can take a toll on a person. 

Carmen is such a selfless person who always puts others before herself. She lives to serve, love, encourage, support and be a helping hand. Many times she has taken others burdens upon her shoulders expecting no recognition or anything in return. She has been an incredible blessing to many. Therefore it is our heart to support and give back to her.

So we are reaching out to all who can help us support her. Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated. Every bit counts, there’s no donation too small. Our goal is to help her undergo surgery with no additional worries. (we know that even when we don't want to worry, finances are always on our mind).
