As many of you know, John Sublett was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Midland after suffering a seizure related to diabetes about four weeks ago. He was later diagnosed with a blood clot in one lung, pneumonia in the other, and a fractured back, which will require surgery to heal. Several other medical complications have occured. We hope John will come home in the next few days, but many doctor visits, along with physical therapy, lie ahead.

The Subletts have medical insurance, but it obviously won’t cover 100% of the care that is likely to end up costing in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Both John and Jennifer have expended all of the sick/medical leave they have from work.

John and Jennifer are so thankful for the outpouring of care, concern and prayers, for hospital visits, and food fairies. The hospital staff has been amazing.
