Love & support for Nick Flynt and family

My name is Valerie Flynt-Dinis, and I'm making this GoFundMe on behalf of my brother, Nick Flynt and his family (wife, Ashlee, and son, Ryder). Nick is currently in the ICU with a brain bleed, brain lesion, and fluid building up on his brain. When 911 was called, he didn't know his wife's or son's name, and couldn't say his date of birth. He has already had a procedure to relieve the pressure of the fluid on his brain and has been sedated and intubated while more tests are performed, including a brain and spine MRI. Unfortunately, due to his cochlear implant causing interference, the MRI picture isn't giving a good reading. Today (11/17/24), they were able to take him off the intubation, but his breathing has become more rapid, and they might be putting the tube back in. Today we also found out that he has become septic and has aspiration pneumonia.

We don't know what the future brings right now, but it is already apparent this is going to be a long and rough road. Nick hasn't been able to work for a while and had become a stay-at-home dad. With Ashlee being at Nick's side, it will affect how much, if at all, she can work. Between medical bills and lack of income, they need our help!

Some history on Nick for those that don't know... he has been through so many medical obstacles over his life, it's unimaginable to most people. Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease at age 6 required 4 surgeries on his hips/legs that year including cutting his femurs in half. Spinal cord cancer at age 16 required 3 spine surgeries, and 2 days after the first spine surgery found a brain tumor requiring full brain & spinal cord radiation and an out-of-state brain surgery where we had to raise $100,000 to have the surgery out of state (back then, we didn't have things like GoFundMe). He has had a lot of issues from the radiation to his brain, including becoming mostly deaf and requiring cochlear implants for him to hear. He was told he wouldn't be able to have children, and by a miracle, we have my beautiful nephew Ryder!!

Please help with whatever you can, anything would help! Please spread the word for prayers, good vibes, donations... all the things! Help me in showing them the love and support they need at this fragile time! We NEED my brother to be with his wife and son, that's his happy place!
