Love & Support for Jay (Nieves) Aponte's Family

My name is Ashley Kohl and I am organizing this GoFundMe to show love & support for the family of Jay (Nieves) Aponte, who unexpectedly passed away early in the morning on Tuesday, November 16th. A car accident on his early commute for work unfortunately took his life too soon. His stepson is my cousin's husband and his granddaughter is a dancer at Ohana School of Performing Arts, and I know what a truly wonderful man he was.

Jay was hard working and selfless and didn’t want or need much to be happy. Jay was the sole provider for his home and worked hard to provide for those he loved. He cared most about his family and made sure that they were his priority and that they were always taken care of. He always stressed the importance of family and being there for one another. In this spirit, it's important for those who love Jay and his family to be there for them during this devastating time. He leaves behind many loving family members who are devastated with this loss. As anyone could imagine, this sudden tragedy has left the family incredibly overwhelmed.
