Love & Support for James Maata

On January 7, 2023, our Dad, Jimmy, was in an accident on his motorcycle. He suffered major traumatic injuries and was kept alive with the quick thinking of his best friend Greg by using his belt to make a tourniquet on Dad's leg. He had to be life-flighted to the hospital, where surgeons worked to reattach his leg and support the bone with a titanium rod.

Our family and physical therapy team are both shocked and proud of what he has accomplished so far in physical therapy within only a few short days. Us girls (Bianca, Aolele and Meline) are overcome with happiness that our Father survived this horrible accident - we really wouldn't be able to live without him. He is showing such motivation and willingness to do whatever it takes to get back up and home with us.

While he is doing amazing so far, Dad is still in the ICU, has had 3 surgeries and is facing many additional surgeries to repair his leg as well as months of physical therapy. This is going to be a long road of recovery for him but also for us as a family - emotionally and financially. Any donations made will go toward his hospital bills, treatment costs, medications, copays and loss of income.

Our Dad is the best Dad. He is loving, selfless and kind. He is the perfect representation of a family man. He has always taken care of our Mom and us. Please help us do the same for him.
