We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts, seeking your love and support for our dear friend, my college roommate, daughter, sister, and mother—Elizabeth Ames Hamby.
Elizabeth's health has rapidly declined due to a combination of a massive head injury (from a car accident over a decade ago), years of emotional trauma, and the potential diagnosis of Huntington's disease.
Upon the recent finalization of her divorce and the news of her upcoming move, Elizabeth is unable to function without support. A team of people are currently feeding her, taking her to medical appointments, visiting her, and helping her through each day.
While we apply for government assistance, seek future housing, and most importantly– medical attention, we need your help filling the financial gap! The main priority for Elizabeth right now is financial support for medical tests, food, home care, basic needs, and temporary shelter.
All donations will be placed in an account that is managed to directly finance the above needs. We ask for your kindness and generosity to help Elizabeth through this difficult time. Any amount of donation, even $5, will help us fill the gap. Your financial support will provide Elizabeth with the assistance she desperately needs to get an appropriate health diagnosis, regain the basic stability she needs to survive, and provide her hope for the future.
Thank you for considering helping Elizabeth on her journey to securing appropriate medical care, healing, and rebuilding her life. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
