Love & Support for Connie Hull
Connie has recently been diagnosed with cancer. Just over a month ago, through NUMEROUS doctor appointments, scans, tests and biopsies, they were made aware that Connie has Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer, which has also invaded 2 lymph nodes. The cancer has then gone from there into her bone and has been found on my sacrum (large bone at base of spine, between hips). There is also a spot on one rib. All tumors that have been biopsies have come back with the same make-up, all are hormone positive. This means that the cancer is being fueled by the estrogen that is produced in her body.
Connie will be undergoing surgery to remove her ovaries, and following that will begin hormone therapy as well as targeted radiation for her bone within the next week or so.
Per Connie: I have a great team of doctors that are working together at RUSH in Chicago. Plus the support from the many friends and family is amazing!!!!! My kids are heaven sent, my husband is more than I could have ever hoped for and my home base friends are fabulous! I can’t thank everyone enough for the support that we have seen so far. We have a long road ahead of us, but continue the prayers; God does listen! With support and the teams in place we can survive this for a long life!!!! This is a marathon battle (as my medical oncologist has stated).
Now it's our turn to help Connie in her fight with cancer with these unexpected medical costs, travel expenses, etc. All of this will be costly. Please consider donating anything you can, it will be greatly appreciated.
